Welcome to Parkwood. This community began in the early 1960s. There are a variety of styles of homes found within it, though the majority are 1 story homes. It is ideally situated between Chapel Hill and RTP. The layout of the neighborhood is such that many of the homes feel quite private compared to some of the newer communities. The lots sizes range between .33 and .5 acre primarily- so are somewhat larger than some of the newer communities. There are lots of very nice trees, a mixture of hardwoods and pine, a community pond, library, and it has its own convenient store. 54 homes in Parkwood sold that were multiple listed with an average price of ~$135,000 and the average days on the market was 68.
